Kieran joined PBM Block Management in June 2021 as a Service Manager, having just completed his A Levels, this was his first role within the housing industry. He is studying a Housing & Property Management Level 3 apprenticeship which includes the add on of IRPM to further enhance his knowledge with role specific requirements.
Kieran has been successful at understanding, researching, and developing his knowledge, skills and behaviours and then successfully applying learning to his day-to-day role. This has meant that he has built on this over time to support the needs of a consistently growing business.
During his time as a Service Manager, Kieran demonstrated his aptitude by becoming a trusted and consistent contact within the organisation, delivering high levels of customer service to leaseholders, directors, and freeholders.
In May 2022, the team that Kieran worked within merged with another which created an opening of an Assistant Property Manager role. Having demonstrated his commitment to learning and development, time and time again, Kieran applied for the role and was successful in securing this promotion.
In under 12 months Kieran is now solely responsible for the management of 9 blocks of apartments which contain around 110 leaseholder homes. Not only is Kieran responsible for the day-to-day management of these, but also ensuring fire safety and health and safety compliance, setting budgets of more than £400k and hosting AGMs with Directors and Leaseholders. In addition, Kieran provides direct support to the blocks managed by his Property Manager, Daniel.
Daniel Alexander, Property Manager at PBM Block Management said: "Kieran has been instrumental in developing and maintaining client relationships which has recently led to us being awarded new business. This is a direct reflection of Kieran and how he has supported and become trusted by the client, to award us one of the largest developments under our management.
Our company ethos is to create happy homes and cared for spaces, this is something that Kieran embodies every day in his communication with leaseholders and directors, planning of major works projects and financial management. He has been influential in creating customer surveys as part of his End Point Project, which has led to a new system being implemented that is now relied upon by the business.
The apprenticeship has given Kieran a foundation to work from that he has then taken full ownership of to develop himself and become an integral member of the team. I believe that Kieran has a thriving and rewarding career in Property Management ahead of him." Kieran's drive and determination are not only reflected by his promotion, but he is also on track to complete his apprenticeship 4 months ahead of target.
