Felix joined the BBC as an apprentice in 2022. Hailing from Harrow in London, he was keen to break away from the big smoke and make a career for himself within the media industry, so he applied for the Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship with BBC Leeds. As a Business Administration apprentice, Felix's role is to provide administration support to BBC executives, coordinate journalists, schedule production resources and to help the BBC run smoothly. When he began working for the BBC he lacked in confidence and was a very quiet individual. Overtime he has grown in confidence and has slowly built up his knowledge and resilience.
The lessons and skills he has gained from his apprenticeship empowered Felix to put himself forward and to speak up about any ideas he has. He was keen to help improve the way the office was managed. Towards the later end of his apprenticeship he took it upon himself to instate a new process for the wider team which ended up being a game changer. This had a big impact on his team and this in turn meant they could work more smartly. He is now on the cusp of getting a distinction.
