Diane works in the Place directorate in the Assets & Environment department as the Systems and Data Officer. Diane has worked here for 8 years. Currently Diane is the only source of writing reports for the department and providing statistics from the K2 Assets database for strategic business decisions, cleansing.
Diane is responsible for data quality, integrity and reporting for all systems in the Estates and Facilities Management section. Providing relevant, and timely business and commercial analysis to assist the Estates and Facilities Managers. Diane provides system admin facility for a number of applications and carries out regular checks to ensure that irrelevant and out-dated data is removed from the system. Diane supports all users and provides training for the databases and common MS office suite.
Whilst undertaking the course, Diane has been able to increase our data analysis and stretch our thinking. Diane has also worked with a wider group of people advertising the potential for further business strategy and analysis which will enable better decisions to be made. Specifically, Diane has been able to demonstrate potential compliance issues with regards to EPCs, demonstrated rent reviews that are late. Information has been provided demonstrating the future activities that may require additional resources and the data to bid for the money. Diane has provided dashboards that have advertised the purpose and need for data and its continued need for improvements and refinements.
The technical training has brought Diane’s knowledge up to date /modernised skills. Diane’s confidence in her own ability and ideas has grown over the course of course. Diane and I have had many brainstorming sessions on how to use Diane’s new skills for the betterment of the West Northampton Unitary.
